the boys head to az tomorrow. a months vacation for us as well as them. they do enjoy the being with the grandparents because they can pretty much do whatever they want, which, i suppose is the 2nd best thing about having grandparents. the first, of course, is the unconditional love they heap on the children.

they seem to like to fly. and they haven’t been unruly on a flight yet, so they can keep going.

the black nightis still a cool thing. yeah, that’s what i have named my car. it was that, or steam-bath (hot in an all day sit). it makes pretty good use of a gallon of fuel. that sox sticker has to go though. not many days left… thank goodness!

mystery, the newest canine member of the family is doing pretty well. he makes some mistakes, but i attribute that to the fact that he’s not so smart, as compared to the other 2. but he always seems to smile.

the cubs are on a roll, of sorts. 7 all-stars. they seem to be winning again. a new starter, that if can remain healthy, will help us. i quit keeping score because it’s just as easy to go to cubs.com.

lastly. obama. i have no trouble with the way he is running his campaign. there are certainly things that he has changed a bit, but that’s to be expected. but the old adage,

 ‘You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.’
